Covenant Presbyterian Church was organized as Bedford Place Presbyterian Church at 3028 Lalk (Evans) Street on December 5, 1893. In 1904 the name changed to Church of the Covenant and in 1906 the Church of the Covenant moved to 27th and Pratt Street.  In 1918, the church was renamed Covenant Presbyterian Church.  Covenant moved to the 51st and Ames location in 1957, where the congregation built a larger facility for worship and mission. On June 11, 1978, the congregation completed and dedicated an addition to the church that served and expanded Christ’s ministry until 1989, at which time the existing church facilities were sold.  Covenant, in 1988, after the North Corridor Study, was asked by the Presbytery of Missouri River Valley to relocate in west Omaha. The North Corridor Study had determined there were too many Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) congregations in north Omaha. After much prayer and discernment by the pastoral staff, Session and members, the consensus was to move and relocate the church to it’s present mission station site at 150th and Blondo Street in west Omaha
